Club News - January 2026

Committee members having been supporting the Waltham Forest Council campaign 'Million More Days' that aims to get more residents undertaking exercise. The focus for the Club has been increasing the number of women participants. It is hoped that some of the Club's publicity material will appear on the Council website and the Club are exploring with the Council running some free sessions for women in the spring.

For the men the focus has been on Essex League preparation. Steve Tongue has organised a number of friendlies but the take up has been disappointing. If you are interested in playing for the Club in the League and Cups please sign up. Details of matches and tournaments are in the Fixture section of the App.

Work has been taking place getting new management structures in place for the 2026 season. The Club are keen to have non-playing managers. There are vacancies for the over 50s and over 60s. Interested; please see Len or Mick.

Mick Mullins has been busy organising social events with a visit to the Beer Festival at Big Penny Social now in the Events section of the App.

Tickets for the Leyton Orient v Rotherham game will be available soon and additional tickets for the Leyton Orient v Huddersfield game on the 6 April (Easter Monday) will be available for women members as they have a fixture clash on the date of the Rotherham game.
