Keith Everett Announces Retirement

1 Dec by Trevor Ridley

Leyton Orient Walking FC are saddened to learn that Keith Everett has notified us of his retirement from walking football and refereeing. Keith has a serious knee injury, brought on by diving in goal, which means he is no longer able to play. Keith was one of the great characters of the Club, whether demanding subs or shouting at the defence for letting him down.

Keith has diligently collected the cash since the Club went independent from the Leyton Orient Trust in 2017. He has played 466 games for the Club, with the overwhelming majority in goal. Keith famously scored one goal, in the qualification tournament in Mallorca.

The Club will present him with a memorial shield to honour his service to the Club at the future session.
