Howard Gould Moves On

13 Feb by Trevor Ridley

Howard Gould has posted in the App that he is moving away from Leyton to Kent. Howard has been involved with walking football at Leyton Orient since the beginning in 2015. He worked with Phill Smith in establishing the first session in September 2015. Whilst working for Leyton Orient Trust/Club, Howard set up events that enabled members to meet and build up a Club identity. These events include the Generations Project where walking footballers worked with local school children, pre-match flags and half-time penalties on match days at Brisbane Road, a most enjoyable away trip to Dagenham. Howard also enabled entry into the first EFL Walking Football cup, organised for games to be played on the Leyton Orient pitch plus a thrilling event for Orient supporters – a match against the Leyton Orient staff at the Chigwell training ground.

Howard as a walking footballer belonged to the single minded striker school of player. He was a Friday and Wednesday regular who made his competitive debut in 2017 but only became a regular in the League squads in the last couple of seasons. He played 94 times scoring 42 goals. Sadly whilst the Club still has his registration, we will not be able to get a fee for the transfer of a prolific striker.

The Club would like to wish Howard all the very best in the future and to thank him for everything he did to help with creating Leyton Orient Walking FC.
