Cup News And Chris Cooper Moves On

11 Feb by Trevor Ridley

Whilst the Club has been busy registering new players, one player is moving on. Chris Cooper, who has guarded the Orient net since 2017, is moving to Sussex and will no longer be available for selection. Chris played 258 times and kept 129 clean sheets across all age groups. He was an outstanding keeper pulling off many miracle saves and saving the blushes of his defenders. He collected a number of team player of season awards due to his outstanding goalkeeping. We wish Chris, all the best on his new adventure.

The Club is finalising entry into National Cups. The Committee decided that the Club would only enter one competition per age group. For the men, the over 50s and over 60s will enter the FA Walking Football Cup. The over 65s and over 70s will enter the WFA Cup. There is no information, dates or entry form for the Women’s competitions at present and the Club will enter at least one national competition for women.
