On Friday 6th December Leyton Orient Walking FC held its annual Awards and Christmas Dinner at the Leyton Orient Football Club.

The evening was a huge success. The event opened with the award of medals to over 65s Reds for finishing third in the Essex Over 65s League Cup.

It was the first year of the Mary Mullins shield which Mick Mullins presented to Sally Jones for being the most improved player in the women’s team.

A number of players picked up two or more awards. These were Andrew Okocha, Chris Williams, Peter Rains, Paul Weston and Justin Edwards. Len Cheston had achieved the award for 500 games.

The Golden Gloves awards went to Chris Williams and Aiden Spence.

The Golden Boots were Frances Handley and Andrew Okocha.

The Women’s Players Player of the Year was Clare Kavanagh.

The Men’s Players Player was Andrew Okocha.
